The sixth installation of the Mainz Materials Simulation Days (MMSD) will cover state-of-the-art methodologies to simulate non-equilibrium systems in computer simulations. It gathers scientists of different backgrounds and expertise, from statistical physicists to biomolecular modelers, who can provide an original view over several different aspects of non-equilibrium processes in soft matter systems.

The MMSD are a series of international discussion meetings focusing on method developments in computational materials science. The workshops are jointly organized by the groups of Prof. Kurt Kremer at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research and Prof. Friederike Schmid at the Physics Institute of the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz.

To enable an atmosphere of lively discussions, this workshop is planned for a total attendance not exceeding 80 people.
