With virtually everyone spending increasingly more time plugged-in to the Internet, digital detox, an extended time-out from digital life, has been widely discussed. Studies have shown that flooding digital information may stress family life and health. In modern work environments and the increasingly digitally interconnected industry 4.0, roles of humans and machines are blurring with possible negative effects on creativity, the ability to learn and build relationships. But do we really need to turn off technology alltogether and escape in the other direction? Shouldn't we rather find balanced, sustainable ways of managing our tech use?
Join in a great conversation with Prof. Dr. Hans Georg Helmstädter and Prof. Dr. Markus Rometsch on May 31, 2018 at Macromedia University. They will talk with management consultant, systemic coach and author Thomas Wehrs about his new book "Pitfall Humans! Are we loosing our vitality, emotiveness and ability to build relations in times of digital ecstasy?” in which he explores the facets of digital overkill and detox phenomenon. Together, they will have a closer look at our choices to escape digital overkill without disconnecting. .
With the event, the experts are aiming at motivating participants to develop a new digital awareness by thinking over digital habits and behaviors.
