The coming International Colloquium Plastics Technology, due to take place on 11–12 March 2020 in the Eurogress Aachen, will be a very special occasion: It will be the 30th time that the world of plastics meets up for the Colloquium in Aachen and, at the same time, we will celebrate in 2020 not only the 70th birthday of IKV but also the 150th anniversary of RWTH Aachen University.
The delegates at the 30th Colloquium will be able to attend a total of 15 lecture sessions, each consisting of two presentations from IKV scientists and a keynote paper from an industry expert. As far as the topics are concerned, the sessions will cover the entire range of IKV research. In addition, around five plenary papers given by speakers from science and industry will draw attention to special trend topics.
The accompanying trade show, the traditional get-together on the evening before the Colloquium and the tour of the IKV laboratories and pilot plants will offer an excellent opportunity for networking. You will find further information on the content of the program in the next edition of IKV.Insight.
We look forward to welcoming you again in Aachen for the Colloquium so that we can celebrate our anniversaries with you. And perhaps we will also be able to celebrate with you the premiere of our International Symposium on Plastics Technology, which will be held for the first time on 10 March 2020 – the day before the Colloquium.

The International Colloquium Plastics Technology presents the research results of the IKV to a broad public from science and industry. 36 specialist presentations by IKV scientists together with 18 keynote presentations by industry experts will provide an overview of current innovations, new production processes, methods of product development and company strategies in plastics technology. In addition, plenary lectures from science and industry will highlight trends and developments in the plastics industry.
With 800 expected participants, the IKV Colloquium is the meeting place for innovative plastics companies. Discuss the practical feasibility of our research with us. Enter into a dialogue with industry experts. Strengthen your network.
