Women in Data Science Conference in Germany on 4 March

From February until May, data experts worldwide will be coming together at more than 150 local Women in Data Science conferences. The International Program in Survey and Data Science (IPSDS) at the University of Mannheim is ambassador of the initiative and will be co-hosting a local conference at the SAP campus in Walldorf, Germany, on 4 March 2020.

Following the success of the last few years, IPSDS and SAP Next-Gen will once again bring together leading data science experts from industry, business and science on the occasion of the unique tech conference "Women in Data Science". The aim of the initiative is to support women in an otherwise male-dominated field and to inspire, bring together, and train data experts worldwide, regardless of their gender.

Organized for the first time at Stanford University in late 2015, the former local conference has since developed into a global initiative. The third edition features conferences in Stanford and more than 150 other locations around the world.

This year, the following speakers will give a speech at the Woman and Data Science Conference Mannheim/Walldorf:

• Julia Krönung
Professor of Information Systems, EBS Business School

• Katrin Lehmann
Senior Vice President S/4HANA Cloud Data Management, SAP

• Iris Heckmann
Principal, Camelot ITLab

• Cosima Meyer
Doctoral student, Graduate School of Economics and Social Sciences, and academic staff member, Chair of Political Science, International Relations, University of Mannheim

• Simona Marincei
Head of Intelligent Processes – SME Product Management, SAP

• Tatjana Schröder
AI Manager, trans-o-flex, and master’s student of the International Program in Survey and Data Science, University of Mannheim

The conference is free of charge and will take place on 4 March 2020, 3.00 - 7.30 p.m. at the SAP Experience Room Walldorf, Germany.
