This new core facility is part of the Charité's ongoing commitment to developing cutting-edge basic and clinical infrastructures and technology platforms. AMBIO is housed on the Charité Mitte Campus in the Charité Cross Over (CCO), a new building devoted entirely to research and education. The AMBIO is under the management of Dr. Jan Schmoranzer and offers state-of-the art light microscopy instrumentation for advanced applications in basic, translational and clinical research. Access to AMBIO will be open to all researches of the Charité, the BIH and other academic partners, as well as to commercial enterprises.
To celebrate the opening of AMBIO a symposium on ‘Advances in Medical Bioimaging’, will take place on September 22-24 in the CCO on the Charité Mitte Campus, Charitéplatz 1/Virchowweg 6.
The aim of the event is to gather experts from different scientific disciplines to address recent developments in state-of-the-art imaging technologies.
The list of confirmed speakers includes:
Markus Sauer, Würzburg (Frontiers in single-molecule based super-resolution microscopy)
Istvan Katona, Budapest (Cell-type specific molecular imaging of cannabis effects by correlated confocal and super-resolution imaging using VividSTORM)
Peter Friedl, Nijmegen (Intravital microscopy of cancer invasion, therapy response and impact of the microenvironment)
Fred Wouters, Göttingen (FRET/FLIM imaging of protein interactions and molecular environments in cells)
Volker Brinkmann, Berlin (Neutrophil Extracellular Traps: Good and bad - not ugly)
Judith Klumperman, Utrecht (Correlative light-electron microscopy (CLEM) of intracellular compartments)
There will be slots available for short talk presentations in all sessions (super-resolution, intravital & live-cell imaging, integrative microscopy), which will be selected from
abstract submissions.
The event is sponsored by our cooperation partner Nikon.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
