Rhythmus, Zeit, Form - Ein Konzept der Künste und ihrer Wissenschaften um 1900

Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft befasst sich mit der Denkfigur des Rhythmus in der Ästhetik, Literatur und bildenden Kunst um 1900. Untersucht wird u.a., warum sich Rhythmus als Grundbegriff der Ästhetik nach 1900 nicht hat durchsetzen können und schließlich welche Potentiale die Rede vom Rhythmus in aktuellen Debatten wie der Frage nach Präsenz-Effekten oder nach der rezeptionsästhetischen Spezifizität der Bild- und Texterfahrung ausspielen könnte.

Die Konferenz wird geleitet vom Bielefelder Literatur- und Kunstwissenschaftler PD Dr. Boris Roman Gibhardt. Die Tagungssprache ist Deutsch.
