Zu den Programmpunkten zählen unter anderem die Datenintegration aus Forschung und Versorgung, IT-Unterstützung und Interoperabilität sowie Qualitätsmanagement und Nachhaltigkeit, um Biobanken als zentrale Infrastrukturen für die medizinische Forschung dauerhaft zu sichern. Nicht zuletzt bietet das Symposium ein Forum für Vernetzung und Austausch auf nationaler und internationaler Ebene.

Die Höhe der Teilnahmebeiträge bleibt gegenüber dem Vorjahr unverändert. TMF-Mitglieder sowie GBN/GBA zahlen 75 Euro, Nicht-TMF-Mitglieder 110 Euro.
