Die Heilige Schrift, nicht das Bild, galt bisher als Hauptinhalt protestantischen Glaubens. Das Interesse am Bild wächst jedoch in der evangelischen Kirche, die sich durch ein intimes Verhältnis zur Schrift einen Namen gemacht hat. Wie verhält sich das neu erwachte Interesse des Protestantismus am Bild zur traditionellen Wertschätzung des Textes?
Das ist die Frage, der der erste Evangelische Bildertag vom 9. bis 10. November 2018 unter dem Titel „Bild und Text“ an der Philipps-Universität Marburg nachgeht. Dazu sind namhafte Referentinnen und Referenten eingeladen. Den großen öffentlichen Vortrag in der Aula der Alten Universität hält am Freitag, 9. November 2018, ab 20 Uhr der Kunsthistoriker Prof. Dr. Hans Belting. Er spricht zum Thema „Luthers Bildpolitik“.
