How Many Open Places Does Berlin Need?

On June 5, from 4.30 pm, Macromedia University invites to an inspiring open lecture on the topic "How many open places does Berlin need? New extended cultural spaces and 'Third Place Concepts' in Berlin and other destinations" with Dr. Patrick S. Föhl (Network for Cultural Consulting, Berlin), Erik Little (Hangar 1, Berlin), Prof. Dr. Gernot Wolfram (Macromedia University Berlin). The event is free and open to all interests. Free drinks and chat after the lecture and discussion included.

Berlin is a special city because of its many places that have no clearly defined functions. This unfinished, inspirational set of spaces has always been a dream and a good reason for artists and other people to come and live in this city. But due to commercialization and gentrification more and more of these places disappear. However, there are new places making an exception. Open for people with different cultural backgrounds, interests and experiences, at no cost and without barriers of access, these places are turning into symbols for cultural spaces of the future - where neither people, nor a space itself „sustain“ the pain of definitions and restrictions.

This topic is addressed on June 5, from 4.30 pm at the open lecture "How many open places does Berlin need? New extended cultural spaces and 'Third Place Concepts' in Berlin and other destinations" at Hangar 1, Old Tempelhof Airport, Berlin.

After a panel talk with Dr. Patrick S. Föhl (Network for Cultural Consulting, Berlin), Erik Little (Hangar 1, Berlin), Prof. Dr. Gernot Wolfram (Macromedia University Berlin), guests are invited to a lively discussion with free drinks. Entry is at no cost, however please register here: http://bit.ly/2YFExiH

Everyone is invited to join in the talk and discussion.

The open lecture in Hangar 1 is a starting point for regular discussions and lectures about cultural development.

Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
