Imaging Material Analysis - SAMMI 3.0

In the past, Fraunhofer FHR developed an imaging radar sensor that enables 2D imaging of a wide variety of samples. With this, the internal structures of the samples can be made visible. SAMMI 3.0 represents a new development.

Due to the further development of the sensor technology, it is now possible to additionally provide spatially resolved information of the interior of the sample. SAMMI thus generates several sectional images per scan. This opens up new possibilities for detecting defects or impurities early on in the process, especially in material analysis or food inspection.
