The Republic of Korea's Indo-Pacific Strategy and Its Implications for ASEAN-ROK Relations

This eventis part of the lecture series "Franco-German Observatory of the Indo-Pacific". It invites key actors from the Indo-Pacific to discuss questions of a strategic nature, of economic interdependence and independence, and the expectations the countries of the Indo-Pacific might have towards the “West”.

Speaker:
Dr. Ina Choi is an Associate Research Fellow at the Korean Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP), Seoul. Prior to joining KIEP, Dr Choi was a Senior Researcher and a Research Professor at the Institute for East Asian Studies at Sogang University, Seoul. She holds a PhD in International Development from the University of Bristol.

Chairs & Moderation:
Dr. Antoine Bondaz is a Research Fellow and the Director of both the Korea Program and the Taiwan Program at the Fondation pour la Recherche Stratégique (FRS), Paris.

Prof. Dr. Patrick Köllner is Vice President of the German Institute for Global and Area Studies (GIGA), Director of the GIGA Institute for Asian Studies, and a Professor of Political Science at Universität Hamburg.
