Patrick Roth, geboren 1953 in Freiburg i. Br., verbindet in seiner künstlerischen Biographie Literatur, Schauspiel und Film. Er greift biblische Stoffe auf, die unter Einsatz filmischer Darstellungsweisen intensiv ausgeleuchtet werden. Roths Texte setzen auf die archaische Kraft, auf Pathos und den Rhythmus der Sprache als Medien der Öffnung und der Transformation. In Münster liest Patrick Roth aus seinem Roman Sunrise. Das Buch Joseph (2012) und dem Erzählband Gottesquartett. Erzählungen eines Ausgewanderten (2020).
