IoT steht dabei für "Internet of Things". Der Fachbegriff beschreibt ein Netzwerk physischer Objekte („Things“), die mit Sensoren, Software und anderer Technologie ausgestattet sind, um sie mit anderen Geräten und Systemen zu vernetzen. Themen der Tagung sind unter anderem: „Durch IoT zu intelligenten Entscheidungsunterstützungssystemen“, „Privacy durch Anonymisierung“ oder „Verkehrssimulation und Vorhersage auf Grundlage von IoT-Sensorik“.
