Sebastian Dreher Pressestelle
Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule Aachen

The Aachen university placed 79 in the current THE Ranking.

This was confirmed by the current Times Higher Education World University Ranking, THE Ranking for short. 79th place remains an excellent achievement for RWTH and is only one place behind its best ranking from last year. In Germany the university even improved by one place, moving up to fifth place – its best ranking thus far.

The THE Ranking is one of the most important university rankings in the world is published annually by the London company Times Higher Education. The ranking takes not only universities' reputations among academics worldwide into consideration but also data on publications, university finances, employees, and graduates.

The results show – as do those of many other rankings – the high quality of both research and teaching at RWTH Aachen and the reputation the university has worldwide.
