The list of speakers suggests fascinating discussions: these include, among others, Cem Özdemir, Chairman of the Bundestag Committee for Transport and Digital Infrastructure and former Federal Chairman of the party Alliance 90/The Greens and Britta Seeger, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG/Mercedes Benz Cars. On Friday, October 19 they will be guests at the AutoDigital specialist conference at Jacobs University Bremen, hosted by the Weser-Kurier newspaper in cooperation with the private university. Topics on the agenda include digitization, electrification and the new added value of the automobile, as well as the diesel scandal and autonomous driving.

Other speakers include Prof. Dr. Claudia Kemfert, Head of the Energy, Transport and Environment Department at the German Institute for Economic Research, Winfried Hermann, Minister of Transport in Baden-Württemberg, and Dr. Kurt-Christian Scheel, Managing Director of the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). In addition to Özdemir, politics is represented by Bremen's Mayor Dr. Carsten Sieling, Economics Senator Martin Günthner and Stefan Muhle, State Secretary in the Lower Saxony Ministry of Economics, Labor, Transport and Digitization. Prof. Dr. Michael Hülsmann, President of Jacobs University, will welcome the guests to the campus in Bremen-Nord.

AutoDigital has quickly established itself as an important specialist conference at which experts from science, industry and politics discuss current developments relating to the automobile and its future. This is the third time that it will be held on Jacobs University’s campus. Dr. Volker Röschenthaler, Professor of Chemistry at Jacobs University and expert in lithium batteries, as well as Jacobs graduate Andrei Costea, managing director of T&S Engineering GmbH in Munich, will also take the podium.
