Upcoming event: Inno.CNT Annual Conference on Carbon Nanomaterials, 25th-27th January 2011

Dr. Stefan Tröster Zentrales Management
Fraunhofer-Institut für Chemische Technologie ICT

The German Innovation Alliance for Carbon Nanotubes will hold its annual conference in Ettlingen (near Karlsruhe, Germany) on 25th-27th January. This year the conference will be open to national and international visitors from research and industry. It offers a platform for the international CNT community to exchange results and ideas. The focus will be on applications and technological requirements for carbon nanomaterials, especially in the fields of lightweight construction, mobility, energy and environment.

The demands placed on new, high-tech materials are continually increasing, and existing material systems are reaching their limits. Due to their exceptional electrical and mechanical properties, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have the potential to transform numerous products and applications.

The Inno.CNT Annual Conference will provide a platform for international teams working in the dynamic field of CNT research and development to discuss their results and ideas. Public sessions will be held in the castle in Ettlingen (near Karlsruhe, Germany) from 25th-26th January 2011.

The program includes key note speeches by renowned experts Morinobu Endo (Shinshu University, Japan), Professor Alan Windle (University of Cambridge, UK) and Professor Robert Schlögl (Fritz-Haber-Institute of the Max-Planck-Gesellschaft). A range of international speakers will present results from carbon nanomaterial alliances in France, Japan, Israel and Singapore. On the afternoon of the second day, parallel sessions will cover different thematic areas including lightweight construction, mobility, energy and environment, modelling, synthesis and characterisation, and dispersion.

Poster contributions are welcome and can be registered until 30th November 2010.

The conference will be hosted by the German Innovation Alliance for Carbon Nanotubes (Inno.CNT), in collaboration with the research and training network CONTACT. The Inno.CNT initiative is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research, and is a communication platform for activities in the field of carbon nanomaterials in Germany and on an international level. CONTACT is funded by the EU's Marie Curie mobility program and is involved in the training of PhD students and post docs on a European level.

    Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
    Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

    Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

    Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

    Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
