idw is the technical service-rendering platform for the associated scientific and scholarly institutions. It provides the infrastructure for publishing and sending of press releases, announcements of events, inquiries directed to our Expert Finder, etc.

It does not maintain an editorial board. For the content of such press releases, event announcements, inquiries and all other such contents published by third persons on the website of idw or presented, mentioned or contributed in email correspondence entered into with idw, the respective author/sender/contributor and/or his/her institution is responsible in terms of press and publication law. The author and/or institution is likewise responsible for correctness, completeness, quality, topicality and up-to-date accuracy of the information published, presented or sent. This is also valid for all links, tips and information placed, entered or sent within the framework of idw as well as for such entries from third parties in guestbooks, discussion forums, mailing lists, etc. of idw. Opinions given are those of the authors/senders/contributors and not necessarily those of idw.

idw instructs all associated scientific and scholarly institutions to take careful note of and comply with any and all existing copyrights when publishing and/or sending information - not only in regard to texts, but also graphic diagrams/charts, photographs, recordings, video sequences, etc. Those responsible in these associated institutions may publish and send only those items mentioned above for which they possess the relevant and necessary rights; otherwise, they must make use of items such as mentioned above that do not require the holding of rights and/or the granting of license. Reproduction or utililization of such items as mentioned above - which are protected by copyright held by third parties - in other electronic or printed publications, media, etc. is not permitted without the express permission of the third parties involved.

In cases of infringement on copyright or any other rights held, idw will accept no responsibility or liability for any such items published by third parties on its website or as part of email correspondence.
