Current focus of the Schmalenbach Business Review journal, international CASiM research colloquium as well as two more Friede Springer Scholarships on trust research
Various activities at the Center for Advanced Studies in Management (CASiM) at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management continue to reaffirm the topic of trust research as one of the core areas of its work.
The Schmalenbach Business Review journal just recently published an issue focusing on "The Role of Trust in Business Economics." It was initiated and coordinated by CASiM's Academic Directors Prof. Dr. Horst Albach, Prof. Dr. Heribert Meffert, Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart as well as Prof. Dr. Ralf Reichwald.
The academics penned a foreword classifying trust research as an investigative topic. They pointed out that trust is one of the crucial foundations for cooperation between people and institutions. They illustrate how trust is a vital component of effective and sustainable solutions alongside the need for regulations and contracts within and between companies as well as the economy itself.
The contributions are based on the analysis of trust in dynamic production functions as well as the development and evidence of market trust.
An international CASiM research colloquium examining the topic of trust further will take place on July 9, 2015, within the framework of the HHL Summer School. Junior researchers may submit their contributions for this event by May 31, 2015. The best submission and conference presentation will be honored with the Heribert Meffert Award. CASiM eventually seeks to expand trust research by awarding two more Friede Springer Scholarships.

About the Center for Advanced Studies in Management (CASiM) at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management
The Center for Advanced Studies in Management (CASiM) is an interdisciplinary research center for business administration in the 21st century established at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management in 2012. CASiM brings together the expertise of all departments of HHL to conduct research in the following four areas of business administration: "The role of trust in firms and with their stakeholders", "Change management in firms and markets", "Healthcare economics" and "Urban dynamics: cities and firms in global competition"
Besides its research activities, CASiM also offers a transdisciplinary and international platform for the development of business administration with regard to the great challenges implied by globalization, technological development, environmental and demographic dynamics. With this platform, facilitated by annual CASiM Conferences, the center provides a forum for the interdisciplinary dialog involving other academic disciplines and practitioners.
