Energizing Cities: Innovations, challenges & solutions

Triangulum International Conference

The Triangulum project is one of currently 14 European Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse Projects that set out to demonstrate, disseminate and replicate solutions and frameworks for Europe’s future smart cites. Over the last 5 years, the project has developed cutting-edge concepts for smart district development in the Lighthouse Cities Manchester (UK), Eindhoven (NL) and Stavanger (NO), focusing on sustainable mobility, energy, ICT and business opportunities around smart cities. These concepts are being replicated in the three follower cities Leipzig (D), Prague (CZ) and Sabadell (ES). Join us in Norway to celebrate the conclusion of the Triangulum project: outcomes and lessons-learned over 5 years.

Triangulum is a European Smart Cities and Communities Lighthouse Project that began in 2015 with three Lighthouse cities: Manchester (UK), Eindhoven (NL) and Stavanger (NO). The concepts behind innovative projects implemented and tested in these cities, focusing on sustainable mobility, energy, ICT and business opportunities, are being replicated in the Fellow Cities Leipzig (D), Prague (CZ9 and Sabadell (ES).

We would like to share the outcomes and lessons-learned during the 5-year project in a concluding conference in Stavanger, Norway, on September 23 -24, 2019.

On September 23, 2019, presentations will be given by the project coordinator, Smart City experts, and by the Lighthouse and Fellow Cities, covering lessons-learned on topics such as climate change, governance, citizen engagement, investment, and replication. There will be two Key Notes by Steve Turner (Digital Cities Lead at Arup) and Martin Brynskov (Chair of Open & Agile Smart Cities, Director of the Centre for Digital Transformation of Cities & Communities and Associate Professor at Aarhus University).

On Tuesday, September 24, Triangulum is contributing to the official Nordic Edge Expo and Conference 2019 as co-organizers of the yearly session “Being a European Lighthouse Project – A Journey from Beginning to End” from 2.00 to 5.00 p.
