The School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, has entered into double degree agreements with four prestigious partner universities in China, Germany and Italy. The school’s master’s students will be able to spend a full academic year abroad, with students from the partner universities bringing greater diversity to courses in Gothenburg. All successful participants will then receive double master’s degrees.
The international perspective has always been important to the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg ever since it was founded in 1923, and the school takes a focused, long-term approach towards working with internationalisation. Student exchanges are part of this, and the school has around 160 partner universities worldwide. Work has been under way for a couple of years to develop deeper cooperation with a few selected partner universities. Four double degree agreements have now been signed with more to come, including with universities in Japan.
A double degree involves a student on a two-year master’s programme spending an adapted academic year at a partner university, with the other academic year being spent in Gothenburg. In addition to valuable international experience, the student also receives two full master’s degrees – one from each university – providing a competitive edge in an increasingly global job market. The double degree partnership allows the university to offer greater breadth in the courses included in its study programmes, opening up new opportunities for students.
The School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg has entered into double degree agreements with the following partner universities:
Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China:
Open to applications from students studying the MSc programmes in Management, Logistics and Transport Management, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
LUISS Guido Carli University, Rome, Italy:
Open to applications from students studying the MSc programme in Innovation and Industrial Management.
University of Rome Tor Vergata, Italy:
Open to applications from students studying the MSc programmen in Finance.
European Business School, Frankfurt, Germany:
Open to applications from students studying the MSc programmes in International Business and Trade, Accounting, Management, Innovation and Industrial Management, and Logistics and Transport Management.
