The German Marine Research Alliance (DAM) introduces itself

Eva Söderman Pressearbeit und Politische Kommunikation
Deutsche Allianz Meeresforschung e.V.

Kick-off Ceremony on March 3rd at FUTURIUM in Berlin

Interview opportunities with the DAM Executive Board

Last year, German marine research institutions, in association with the Federal Government and the North German states of Bremen, Hamburg, Mecklenburg-West Pomerania, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein, established the German Marine Research Alliance (DAM, Deutsche Allianz Meeresforschung).

Germany has thus created one of the world's largest marine research alliances. It aims to strengthen the sustainable use of the coasts, seas and oceans through research, data management and digitilisation, infrastructure and transfer.

The alliance is growing: Six new member institutions have been admitted to the DAM at its General Assembly on 12 February, bringing the total membership to 19 institutions (members). This shows: With the DAM, the German marine research institutions are seizing the opportunity to assume their social responsibility and to contribute towards finding answers to politically relevant scientific questions.

We invite journalists to the DAM Kick-off Event on 3 March at the FUTURIUM, when the DAM will introduce itself in the German capital. And we will gladly arrange for interviews with the DAM Executive Board.

    Journalists are invited to
