ERC Grant for DZNE researcher Markus Zweckstetter

Dr. Marcus Neitzert Presse- und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit
Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen e.V. (DZNE)

Prof. Dr. Markus Zweckstetter (47) from the Goettingen site of the German Center of Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) has been awarded an “Advanced Grant” from the European Research Council (ERC). He will explore new techniques on sub-nanometer level to analyze non-membrane organelles. These are special compartments of the cell that are poorly understood so far. Zweckstetter’s work might lead to a deeper understanding how non-membrane organelles can be regulated to develop better treatments for neurodegenerative diseases. For this research, he will receive around 2.5 million Euros for a period of five years.

    Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
