Prof. Frank Ewert, Wissenschaftlicher Direktor des ZALF und Professor für Pflanzenbau an der Universität Bonn, wird Co-Sprecher des Vorhabens „Land-Innovation Lausitz“ (LIL). Ewert und der bereits amtierende Bündnissprecher Prof. Michael Schmidt (Brandenburgische Technische Universität Cottbus) werden das Projekt künftig gemeinsam leiten.
Das Leibniz-Zentrum für Agrarlandschaftsforschung (ZALF) e.V. unterstützt das Projekt „Land-Innovation-Lausitz“ (LIL) als einer von insgesamt 35 Projektpartnern von LIL aus Forschung, Wirtschaft, Politik und Verwaltung.
Das Vorhaben LIL zielt darauf ab, die Lausitz zu einer Modellregion für eine Anpassung von Landnutzung an den Klimawandel zu entwickeln. Im Partner-netzwerk sollen Innovationen in den Themenbereichen Boden, Pflanzen, neuartige Biomaterialien und Kulturlandschaft entstehen. Konkret geht es zum Beispiel darum, Technologien für die optimierte Nährstoff- und Wasserspeicherfähigkeit von Böden oder klimaangepasste Anbausysteme für die Landwirtschaft zu entwickeln. Im Fokus aller Themenbereiche stehen die Erforschung und Entwicklung von Technologien der digitalen Landwirtschaft. Beteiligungsprozesse für Bürgerinnen und Bürger sollen die Akzeptanz für das Vorhaben in der Region erhöhen und das Gelingen des geplanten Strukturwandels sichern.
