On July 3, 2017, Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner assumed the academic management of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. With this step, the Chairholder of HHL's Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Chair of Strategic Management and Family Business has replaced Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart who had served as Dean since April 2011.
On July 3, 2017, Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner assumed the academic management of HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. With this step, the Chairholder of HHL's Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Chair of Strategic Management and Family Business has replaced Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart who had served as Dean since April 2011.
Commenting on the appointment of Prof. Dr. Stubner as the new Dean, Dr. Tessen von Heydebreck, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HHL, says, "We are glad about the unanimous vote and firmly believe that our university will undergo further positive developments with Prof. Dr. Stubner. With him, the Dean's office wins a personality who has known HHL for almost 20 years and who, both as an entrepreneur and a researcher, can look back on a wide and impressive range of experience and successes."
Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner comments on his appointment, "I am delighted to be able to contribute to the further development of HHL in my new role. The existing approach of an entrepreneurial general management is very close to my heart. I would like to expand our school's profile even more in this regard."
Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner (short biography)
Prof. Dr. Stephan Stubner (born in Munich on June 19, 1974) has held the Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG Chair of Strategic Management and Family Business at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management since 2013. As one of the co-founders of ciao.com and trivago, he has gained extensive entrepreneurial experience and continues to be active as a dedicated business angel. His professional experience includes several years at Siemens AG as well as The Boston Consulting Group. Prof. Dr. Stubner's research and teaching focuses on the fields of entrepreneurship, strategy and family business; the results of his research have appeared in over 30 publications.
