Iria Garcia Lopez receives Best Student Paper Award
The PhD student Iria Garcia Lopez from IHP –Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics in Frankfurt (Oder) received the Best Student Paper Award at IEEE Bipolar/BiCMOS Circuits and Technology Meeting (BCTM) in Miami/Florida. She gains the award which is endowed with $500 for her paper in the field of circuit design. Iria is spanish citizen and since 2012 at IHP, where she conducts her research in the area of integrated circuits for optical communications. In her paper, “A 50 Gb/s TIA in 0.25µm SiGe:C BiCMOS in folded cascode architecture with pnp HBTs“, she demonstrated a high-speed broadband transimpedance amplifier suitable for the next generation 400G Ethernet networks.
The BCTM is a premier conference for technical communication focused on the needs and interests of the bipolar and BiCMOS technology, modeling and circuit community and is hosted by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), a professional association. IHP is one of the leading institutions in the field of BiCMOS technologies and is therefore represented every year on the BCTM.
