The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) in Trier, Germany, is organizing an international twin conference from June 7 to 12, 2018. The first part deals with big data in psychology, the second with research synthesis methods (comparison and summarization of different individual studies on similar topics).
ZPID Director Prof. Dr. Michael Bosnjak initiated the conference. More than 150 participants have registered. The renowned speakers come from all over the world - from China, Europe and the USA.
For the Big Data Conference (June, 7-9), keynote speakers will be:

- Mike Cheung, National University of Singapore
- Andreas Brandmaier, Max Planck Institute for Human Development
- Katrijn van Deun, Tilburg University (NL)
- Michael Neale, Virginia Commonwealth University
For the Research Synthesis Conference (June, 10-12), keynote speakers will be:

The Big Data in Psychology Conference focuses on methods and applications of using Big Data in psychology. The Research Synthesis Conference discusses the applications of research synthesis methods for current topics in sub-areas and related fields of psychology.

The Leibniz Institute for Psychology Information (ZPID) is the supra-regional scientific research support organization for psychology in German-speaking countries. It supports the entire scientific work process from gathering ideas and researching literature to documenting research, archiving data and publishing the results, based on an ideal-type research cycle. It is committed to the idea of open science and sees itself as a public open science institute for psychology. ZPID is a member of the Leibniz Association which connects 93 independent research institutions in Germany.
