Die Teilnehmer erfahren die neuesten Forschungsergebnisse. Sie lernen den Einsatz eines Wasserstrahlskalpells kennen und bekommen Erfahrung mit einer arthroskopisch dorsalen Bandplastik. Sie können dank der Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Anatomie (Direktor Prof. Dr. Jochen Fanghänel) mit einem Laser im Kiefergelenk arbeiten und selbst arthroskopieren.
Für die Teilnahme gibt es 12 Fortbildungspunkte der Ärzte- und Zahnärztekammer.
Schirmherr der Tagung ist der Minister für Bildung, Wissenschaft und Kultur in Schwerin, Prof. Dr. Dr. Hans-Robert Metelmann.
