Professor Dr. Richard Hautmann (62) ist der erste Urologe in der Geschichte des Deutschen Krebspreises, der am Montag, 14. März, im Rahmen des Kongresses der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Experimentelle Krebsforschung (AEK) der Deutschen Krebsgesellschaft, in Würzburg für seine Forschungsarbeit und für sein ausserordentliches Engagement ausgezeichnet wird. Durch seine intensiven experimentellen und klinischen Untersuchungen hat der Preisträger wesentlich zur Entwicklung der heutigen Standardtherapie der orthotopen Ersatzblase beigetragen. Die nach ihm benannte "Hautmannblase" wird inzwischen weltweit als eine Standardharnableitung angesehen.
