Fraunhofer Life Science Symposium Leipzig 2006

The first Fraunhofer Symposium Leipzig will be held on October 22-24, 2006 in the BioCity Leipzig and is hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology. The Fraunhofer Life Science Symposium Leipzig is conceived as an annual meeting for about 200 experts from industrial and academic research institutions. The topics will change each year giving us the opportunity to address very recent, rapidly changing or newly developed, specialized fields of research and technological developments. The topics that will be addressed in this symposium include:

Immunological Tolerance
Neural Cell Therapy
Cardiovascular Cell Therapy
Liver Cell Therapy
Spinal Regeneration
Imaging of Regeneration
Regulatory Issues for Advanced Therapy Products

One of the objectives of the Symposium series is to bring together industry and academic researchers for communication, exchange of experiences and to give them the opportunity to express their special interests and needs. The Symposium will have scientific posters as well as an industrial exhibition and also special courses aimed at special technologies or to regulatory ethical or political issues.
The symposium is organised by members of the Fraunhofer Institute IZI and of the University of Leipzig.
