The 3rd Summer School on Solid Oxide Fuel Cell Technology (SOFC2006) will be held from Sunday 3rd to Friday 8th September, 2006 in Lemnos, Greece, a beautiful and picturesque island with rich history, situated in the north eastern Aegean Sea. The School will take place in the hotel "Akti Myrina" (www.aktimyrina.gr).
The school will be organized in the frame of the Real-SOFC Integrated Project in continuation of the successful summer schools organized in Patras, Greece in 2004 and in Ovronnaz, Switzerland in 2005.
The main objective of this summer school is to give a detailed overview of the SOFC technology including fundamental aspects and basic features, materials processing and characterization techniques and emphasize its potential applications and contribution for a sustainable social development. Well-known experts in the scientific disciplines of the School will give the lectures. Notes will be published by the organizers and distributed to the participants in electronic form.
The School addresses PhD students and young researchers as well as newcomers in the field of SOFC technology and its program is organized in a way to provide possibilities for scientific and personal interaction. The registration fee is € 550- 650 and includes participation, educational material, social events and six days lunches and accommodation in Hotel Mirina.
