Prof. Dr. Angela Köhler leitet die Forschungsgruppe Umwelttoxikologie am Alfred-Wegener-Institut für Polar- und Meeresforschung. Hier werden die Auswirkungen gefährlicher Chemikalien auf den Lebensraum Meer untersucht und Testverfahren für die Meeresüberwachung entwickelt.
In ihrem Vortrag erklärt sie die Wirkungsmechanismen von solchen Schadstoffen und berichtet auch über die Folgen für Mensch und Umwelt.
