Die numerische Strömungsmechanik hat sich zu einer Schlüsseltechnologie entwickelt, die eine wichtige Rolle bei Design, Entwicklung und Optimierung in der Ingenieurspraxis spielt. Der ERCOFTAC-Workshop hat zum Ziel, Wissenschaftler, Benutzer und Entwickler aus Industrie und Forschung zusammenzubringen. Wie auch bei den bisherigen Workshops wurden sowohl grundsätzliche als auch industrierelevante Konfigurationen als Testfälle de-finiert.
