Ab dem 25. Oktober werden danach jeweils mittwochs, 18.15 bis 19.45 Uhr, Hörsaal XIV der Universität,bis zum 31. Januar 2006 verschiedene Aspekte des Terminus "Menschliche Sicherheit" beleuchtet. Zur Eröffnung der Veranstaltungsreihe sprechen am 23. Oktober im Alten Rathaus um 18 Uhr Prof. Dr. Matthias Winiger, Rektor der Universität Bonn, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr. h.c. Janos Bogardi, Direktor der UNU-EHS und Peter Croll, Direktor des BICC. Prof. Ramesh Thakur, Vize-Rektor der UNU, wird einen Vortrag zum Thema "The United Nations and Human Security" halten.
Inhaltlich ergänzend zur Ringvorlesung "Menschliche Sicherheit" findet die von BIMUN/SINUB e.V. in Kooperation mit der Stadt Bonn und der Universität Bonn organisierte Vorlesungsreihe "Das internationale Bonn - Organisationen und Institutionen erläutern ihre Arbeit zu menschlicher Sicherheit" immer donnerstags von 18.15 bis 19.45 Uhr im Hörsaal XVI des Hauptgebäudes statt (bis 1. Februar 2006).
Diese Reihe beginnt am 26. Oktober 2006 mit dem Vortrag "International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental Change (IHDP) & United Nations Secretariat for the International Strategy for Disaster Reduction-Platform for the Promotion of Early Warning (UN/ISDR-PPEW)" und einem Grußwort von Dr. Maria Hohn-Berghorn, Leiterin Internationale Angelegenheiten,Stadt Bonn.
