Der "Innovationsindikator Deutschland 2006", erstellt vom Deutschen Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung (DIW Berlin) im Auftrag des Bundesverbandes der Deutschen Industrie (BDI) und der Deutschen Telekom Stiftung, vergleicht die Innovationsstärke der 17 weltweit führenden Industrienationen. Erstmals werden auch aufstrebende asiatische Länder wie China, Indien und Südkorea detailliert betrachtet. Beantwortet wird zudem die Fragestellung, welche Stärken und Schwächen Bundesländer wie zum Beispiel Baden-Württemberg und Nordrhein-Westfalen im internationalen Vergleich aufweisen.
Hat sich die Innovationskraft Deutschlands in den vergangenen zwölf Monaten verbessert? Wer schafft weltweit Maßstäbe, wenn es um Bildungsinnovationen oder zum Beispiel die Teilnahme von Frauen am Innovationsprozess geht?
