Die Ringvorlesung ist Teil des Projektes "ExplorAging", das sich hochschulübergreifend mit den Herausforderungen des demografischen Wandels auseinandersetzt.
Partner der Projektinitiative ExplorAging sind 20 verschiedene Fachgebiete aus der Leibniz Universität Hannover (federführend), der Medizinischen Hochschule Hannover, der Evangelischen Fachhochschule, der Fachhochschule Hannover, der Hochschule für Musik und Theater sowie gegenwärtig 15 Institutionen aus Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft.
Die Projektleitung ExplorAging liegt bei Herrn Prof. Dr. Peter von Mitschke-Collande, Leiter Weiterbildungsstudium Arbeitswissenschaft der LUH, sowie bei Frau Prof. Dr. med. Gisela Charlotte Fischer, em. Direktorin der Abt. Allgemeinmedizin der MHH.
