The 2007 Congress will be structured according to tumor entities and special emphasis will be placed on prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, skin cancer and lymphomas. This format is designed to enhance communication and collaboration between clinicians and basic researchers. Each session will feature eminent clinicians and basic researchers and illustrate the basic dimensions of the disease, the clinical and public health problems associated, the progress which has been made in recent years in molecular understanding and targeted therapy. New molecular insights involved in cellular transformation, e.g. signaling pathways in tumor cells, epigentic events, the role of DNA damage repair, aberrant micro RNA expression, cell adhesion and the tumor microenvironment will be discussed in the context of particular tumor entities. Progress in targeted therapies will be assessed and their value as single agents and combination regimen will be discussed. Finally, the identification of gaps in knowledge which hamper clinical treatment and which will be themes of investigation in the future will be addressed.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
