Seit Besiedelung der Wattenmeerküste hat der Mensch die Artenvielfalt der dortigen Tier- und Pflanzenwelt verringert. Mit Beginn der Eindeichungen vor tausend Jahren setzte eine Umformung der gesamten Küstenlandschaft ein. Die Küste braucht neue Konzepte angesichts des Anstiegs des Meerespiegels. Prof. Dr. Karsten Reise von der Wattenmeerstation Sylt des Alfred-Wegener-Instituts möchte in seinem Vortrag einen Blick in die Vergangenheit werfen, an Vergessenes erinnern und damit unkonventionelle Anregungen für Neugestaltungen und Nutzungsänderungen an der Küste geben.
