Die Verbesserung der Patientensicherheit und des Patientenkomforts während operativer Eingriffe sind zentrale Themen der diesjährigen Veranstaltung, wie Klinikdirektor Professor Dr. Jens Scholz erläutert. Den "Besonderen Vortrag" wird der Mediziner und Humorist Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen über "Lachen oder Lachgas" halten.
Die Klinik für Anästhesiologie und Operative Intensivmedizin betreut pro Jahr mehr als 22.000 Patienten während operativer Eingriffe und sichert die Qualität der intensivmedizinischen Behandlung schwerkranker Patienten. Die Narkoseärzte sind außerdem für die notfallmedizinische Versorgung der Stadt Kiel und des Landkreises Rendsburg-Eckernförde zuständig.
