Insgesamt gibt es im "phaeno", das im ersten Jahr 300.000 Besucher anlockte, 250 Experimentierstationen. Im Bereich des Ausstellungskraters und des "TecLab" wird die TU Clausthal Quartier beziehen. Das Team um Professor Ulrich Kunz vom Institut für Chemische Verfahrenstechnik stellt eine Brennstoffzelle vor. Zum Thema Feinstaub führt das Institut für Mechanische Verfahrenstechnik von Professor Alfred Weber Versuche durch. Mit einem Schülerlabor ist das Institut für Physik und Physikalische Technologien um Dozent Friedrich Balck dabei. Und ein ferngesteuerter Gabelstapler wird vom Institut für Elektrische Informationstechnik (Professor Martin Vossiek) präsentiert. An allen Stationen werden TU-Wissenschaftler oder fachkundiges Personal Fragen der Besucher beantworten.
Zum Auftakt des "Clausthaler Monats" im "phaeno" (Willy-Brandt-Platz 1, 38440 Wolfsburg) präsentiert sich die Hochschule der Presse. Termin: Dienstag, 3. Juli, 14 Uhr, im Bereich Ausstellungskrater/ TecLab. Neben den genannten Instituten wird auch Professor Hans-Peter Beck, Vizepräsident für Forschung und Hochschulentwicklung an der TU Clausthal, dabei sein.
