Sonnenflecken sind ein Ausdruck für die magnetische Aktivität der Sonne. Sie werden seit Jahrhunderten aufgezeichnet. Der Vortrag ist zum einen eine Reise in die Vergangenheit zu den Beobachtern alter Zeiten wie auch ein Streifzug durch die Kenntnisse über den Sonnenfleckenzyklus, die wir heute aufgrund der gesammelten Daten haben. Danach gibt es eine Führung durch das Institut und bei klarem Himmel eine Himmelsbeobachtung mit dem 70cm-Spiegelteleskop.

Die Veranstaltung ist offen für Jedermann. Der Eintritt ist frei. Parkplätze auf dem Gelände sind vorhanden.
