Die Nachrichten werden beherrscht von Termini wie "Credit Default Swaps", "Subprime Mortgages" etc. und vermitteln den Eindruck einer Welt, die von Spekulanten beherrscht wird und dem Verständnis des normalen Bürgers verschlossen bleibt.
Hermann-Josef Lamberti, Mitglied des Vorstandes der Deutschen Bank, wird über "Moderne Kapitalmärkte und Finanzmathematik" sprechen und den Einsatz der Finanzmathematik in einer Großbank erläutern, sowie zeigen, wie wissenschaftliche Resultat Eingang in die Praxis finden.
An der anschließenden Podiumsdiskussion nehmen - neben Hermann-Josef Lamberti - Prof. Dr. Stefan Mittnik, Ph.D., Seminar für Finanzökonometrie, Ludwig-Maximilian-Universität München und Akademiemitglied Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Otmar Issing, Präsident Center for Financial Studies, Universität Frankfurt am Main, teil.
