Prof. Dr. Christian Pfeiffer präsentiert in seinem Vortrag Ergebnisse aus Untersuchungen, in denen die Nutzung der Medien von Kindern und Jugendlichen analysiert wurde. Sie weisen überraschend Parallelen zu den Ergebnissen der drei PISA-Studien auf.
Besteht nun ein Zusammenhang zwischen schlechten schulischen Leistungen und dem Konsum von Medien und deren Inhalten? Anhand der Studien lässt sich klar belegen: Je mehr Zeit Schülerinnen und Schüler mit Medienkonsum verbringen und je brutaler dessen Inhalte sind, desto schlechter fallen die Schulnoten aus, hat Prof. Pfeiffer festgestellt.
