Im Vorfeld des 100. Bundeskongresses des Deutsche Vereins zur Förderung des mathematischen und naturwissenschaftlichen Unterrichts (Förderverein MNU) findet das internationale Symposium 'Learning by doing: Experiments and Instruments in the History of Science Teaching' statt. Im Rahmen dieses Symposiums werden die vierzehn Vorträge einen Einstieg in die Diskussion zur Geschichte des naturwissenschaftlichen Unterrichts liefern, die bisher trotz ihrer Bedeutung durch die Wissenschaftsgeschichtsschreibung wenig Aufmerksamkeit erfahren hat.
