Die Stryker Trauma GmbH in Kiel ist eine Tochter des weltweit agierenden Stryker Konzerns mit Hauptsitz in Kalamazoo (Michigan / USA). Als einziges Unternehmen des Stryker Konzerns konzentriert sich der Standort auf die intramedulläre Behandlung von Frakturen langer Röhrenknochen.
In Kiel werden von über 500 Mitarbeitern medizinische Nagelimplantate, Schrauben und Instrumente, überwiegend für die Versorgung von Knochenbrüchen entwickelt und hergestellt. Die Stryker Trauma GmbH hat eine weltweit führende Position auf diesem Gebiet erreicht: Alle 2,1 Minuten wird derzeit einem Patienten ein Produkt aus Kiel implantiert.
Grundlagen für den weltweiten Erfolg sind die beständigen Investitionen in Forschung, Entwicklung, Fertigung und Qualität. Schlüsselfaktoren sind die ausgeprägte Kunden- und Mitarbeiterorientierung sowie die konsequente Weiterentwicklung der Produkte und der Produktionsorganisation.
