Tiphaine Samoyault, ehemalige Studentin der École Normale Supérieure und ehemaliges Mitglied der Villa Medicis, ist Komparatistin an der Uni Paris-VIII. Darüber hinaus schreibt sie sowohl Essays ("La Montre cassée", Verdier, 2004), als auch Romane ("Météorologie du rêve", Le Seuil, 2000, "Les Indulgences", Le Seuil, 2003). Als Übersetzerin hat sie an der neuen Ausgabe von "Ulysse" von James Joyce mitgearbeitet. Außerdem arbeitet sie mit France-Culture und der Quinzaine littéraire zusammen, wo sie seit mehreren Jahren "die Nachrichten der Fiktion" berichtet. In ihrem letzten Werk "La Main négative" (Argol, 2008) erzählt sie von ihrer Kindheit in der Gobelin-Manufaktur, wo sie gleichzeitig das Zusammenwirken der Bewegung und des Objektes verstanden und "ein gewisses Hinken in der Zeit" entwickelt hat. Wir möchten mit ihr über diese seltsame Lahmheit sprechen und auf die Komplementarität ihrer literarischen Aktivitäten zwischen Kritik und Fiktion zurückkommen.
