At one point in history, media formats could be neatly segregated into distinct categories: newspapers, radio and television broadcasters, magazine publishers, cable television, etc. Today, with the emergence of the Internet, media formats are quickly and dramatically converging. Newspapers now publish print and online editions. Radio and television broadcasters stream over the Web. As a result, traditional distinctions between the various types of media are collapsing and leading to new definitions of media, and new approaches. In this symposium, we explore the enormous political, social and governmental implications of this convergence.
We are looking forward to discuss these questions, present difficulties, expected developments, and possible future solutions with media experts from the USA and Australia.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
