Mythos, Standortfaktor, Imageträger? Was leistet der Profisport für unsere Stadt?

Frankfurt am Main, 17. Mai 2010. Die Frankfurt School lädt ein zu einer Podiumsdiskussion zum Thema „Standortfaktor Profisport“. Es sprechen:
- Markus Frank, Dezernent für Wirtschaft, Personal und Sport der Stadt Frankfurt am Main
- Dr. Thomas Pröckl, stellvertretender Vorstandsvorsitzender, Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG
- Dr. Hartmut Schwesinger, Geschäftsführer, FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH - International Marketing of the Region
- Dr. Gunnar Wöbke, Geschäftsführer, SKYLINERS GmbH
- Moderation: Andreas Horchler, Redakteur, HR Info
Kern der Diskussion ist die Bedeutung des Profisports für die Mainmetropole: Wie tragen Profi-Mannschaften im Fußball, Basketball oder Eishockey zur nationalen und internationalen Imagebildung unserer Stadt bei? Wie ist es um die Mythenbildung rund um den Sport in Frankfurt bestellt? Inwiefern ist der Sport Zugpferd für andere Bereiche wie den Tourismus? Sind Profi-Mannschaften ein Faktor zum Beispiel für Unternehmen, die sich hier ansiedeln wollen, oder für Studenten, die neu in der Stadt sind?
Die Veranstaltung findet am Mittwoch, 2. Juni 2010, um 18:30 Uhr in der Frankfurt School, Sonnemannstraße 9-11, 60314 Frankfurt am Main statt. An die Diskussion auf dem Podium schließt sich eine Fragerunde mit alle Gästen an. Zum Ausklang lädt die Frankfurt School zu einem Empfang mit Imbiss ein.
