Philosophisch kommt Wissenschaft für Nietzsche sowohl als Gebäude und Konstruktionsform wie auch als historisch situierte und sozial relevante Kulturtechnik. Ausgehend von diesen Überlegungen soll Nietzsches Wissenschaftsphilosophie in ihrem sachlichen Gehalt und ihrer aktuellen Relevanz erforscht werden. Zu diesem Zweck ist auch zu prüfen, inwieweit Nietzsches Gedanken zum "Problem Wissenschaft" einerseits in zeitgenössische Debatten eingebettet sind und andererseits die tatsächliche Entwicklung der Wissenschaftsphilosophie beeinflusst haben.
Die Konferenzsprachen sind Deutsch und Englisch.
