Christian K. Schneider is Director and Professor and Head of Division of EU-Cooperation/Microbiology at the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, Federal Institute for Vaccines and Biomedicines, in D-63225 Langen, Germany. He is holding a number of different positions at the European Medicines Agency (EMEA): He is Chairman of the Committee for Advanced Therapies (CAT), and member of the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP). He is also Chairman of the Working Party on Similar Biological (Biosimilar) Medicinal Products (BMWP). Dr. Schneider is member of an Advisory Board of a European Scientific Consortium and he is holding a scientific affiliation at the TWINCORE, Hannover. His major scientific interest is in the field of regulatory research with a special focus on the mechanisms of development and marketing authorisation of biological medicinal products.
