Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung soll vornehmlich jungen Nachwuchsforschern aus Frankreich und Deutschland, die an wissenschaftlichen Projekten auf dem Gebiet der Erforschung und Nutzung des Laser tätig sind, die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, ihre eigenen Forschungsaktivitäten im Rahmen von Posterbeiträgen zu präsentieren. Dabei sollen sie allerdings auch die Gelegenheit erhalten, Pioniere der Laserforschung beider Länder kennenzulernen und zu erleben: Eine Art Lindau-Treffen im Bereich der Laserforschung!
Die Veranstaltung findet unter der Schirmherrschaft des Französischen Botschafters in Berlin und des Präsidenten der Helmholtz-Gemeinschaft Deutscher Forschungszentren statt. Träger sind die Französische Botschaft sowie die Helmholtz-Gesellschaft; weiterhin wirken daran mit das Forschungszentrum Dresden-Rossendorf, die Freie Universität Berlin, das BMBF und der DAAD.

Financial support:
Financial support for covering the costs of travel and accommodation is available for young investigators from both Germany (150 Euros; except for participants coming from Berlin and Potsdam) and France (250 Euros). But also students who are close to graduation or who are working on their final thesis are welcome! However, the number of persons who can be supported is limited.
